Course Description

In this course, following a brief review of the relevant law for each lesson, you will proceed through a series of interactive animated courtroom scenes where you will make or respond to objections and receive feedback on your responses. Explanations include citations to Louisiana cases and decisions applying the law used in the video in actual trials. Review lessons at the end of each chapter reinforces the materials covered in the chapter. This course contains over 100 courtrooms scenes in which you will apply the rules of evidence in various contexts and scenarios to give you the maximum exposure to the rules of evidence in action. This course is designed to ensure that you not only learn the rules of evidence, but most importantly, that you learn to apply the rules of evidence the way the rules must be applied in actual trials and hearings.

Shenequa Grey

Professor Grey is a former prosecutor with trial experience in a full range of trials including armed robbery, rapes, and second-degree murder. She earned an advanced law degree in trial advocacy from one of the leading advocacy programs in the nation, Temple Beasley School of Law. She has taught advocacy and evidence for more than twelve years and is the author of An Anatomy of Louisiana Evidence Law: Code, Commentary, Cases, and Problems, published by Carolina Academic Press (available at www.greyevidence.com, and the electronic interactive supplement available at www.casebookadvantage.com).
