Course Description

This course is designed to be used in connection with the study of Louisiana evidence law using An Anatomy of Louisiana Evidence Law: Code, Commentary, Cases, & Problems as a supplement to the casebook and course. This course follows the casebook giving an additional review of the rules of evidence alongside powerpoint presentations containing the key points from each section. Lectures also includes statutory and jurisprudential updates through 2018. The course also includes a discussion of select problems and practical application exercises from the casebook to reinforce the material. Throughout the course are extensive self-assessment quizzes and examinations to test your knowledge.

The course also features select interactive animated courtroom scenes from the Master Advocates Video Training Modules Series, to demonstrate key concepts such as qualifying and expert witness, laying foundation for the business records exception, and more. This course helps to insure a more thorough and in-depth understanding of Louisiana evidence and helps to insure you receive a foundation on how to apply the rules to actual courtroom scenarios. Shenequa Grey

Professor Grey is a former prosecutor with trial experience in a full range of trials including armed robbery, rapes, and second-degree murder. She earned an advanced law degree in trial advocacy from one of the leading advocacy programs in the nation, Temple Beasley School of Law. She has taught advocacy and evidence for more than twelve years and is the author of An Anatomy of Louisiana Evidence Law: Code, Commentary, Cases, and Problems, published by Carolina Academic Press (available at www.greyevidence.com, and the electronic interactive supplement available at www.casebookadvantage.com).
